25 June 2020: Cyprus Digital Security Authority launches public consultation on a draft Decision for the Cybersecurity of 5G Networks
Our Law Firm is part of a team headed by the Commissioner of Electronic Communications and Postal Regulation, the Digital Security Authority of Cyprus and KPMG for the preparation and adoption of the necessary actions and legal framework regulating Cybersecurity for the forthcoming 5G Networks in Cyprus.
Guided by EU/national legislation and the Strategic and Technical measures listed in the EU Toolbox for Cybersecurity of 5G Networks issued on January 2020, we have dealt with the legal drafting and vetting of a draft Decision of the Digital Security Authority providing for the minimum cybersecurity measures to be adopted by 5G Mobile Operators and other related parties in Cyprus.
The Digital Security Authority announced on the 25th June 2020 the launch of a public consultation, aiming to receive comments/suggestions on the draft Decision from Mobile Operators and other interested parties.
The invitation to submit comments expires on July 10, 2020.
